Need to reduce paper trials demands system overhaul
Best&Less were using email and faxes as the process of communication between the company’s support centre and their 180+ stores. This process was getting difficult to manage as the means of tracking receipt of important messages such as product recalls, promotions, special offers and general announcements was becoming cumbersome.
Empower IT was engaged to develop a corporate intranet with a solution that would allow for the electronic communications between the support centre and the 180+ stores and in turn reducing the paper trail and faxes that were exchanged between the teams. The enhanced system was to have a central repository of all the information that could be easily tracked and managed.
The Solution
Empower IT Solutions developed a web-based intranet solution using Microsoft SharePoint. Empower IT Solutions customised Best&Less’ MyStore Dashboard to connect staff with information from 180+ locations within Australia.
The resulting system included an intuitive electronic interface that collected, managed submitted forms, tracked receipt and opening of messages, filed away searchable documents and improved business workflows and processes.
As all the store communication requests were managed centrally and tracked against product or customer related information which enhanced accountability and reporting.
